Records indicate that the Thomas Brockwell family suffered the deaths of their two eldest sons (diptheria) within a 10 day span in December 1891.
It seems that within weeks, or maybe even days, of these disastrous events that they emigrated to New York state (records indicate late December 1891) and that by 1900 they resided in Cook County, Chicago, Illinois, U.S.A.
The birth of Beatrice (apparently in the January of 1891) seems improbable since she is not present in the 1891 Canadian census. There is possibility that she was born in mid-late 1891, most likely around June.
Thomas married Mary Mertie Allcock on 14 Nov 1883 in Toronto, Ontario. (Mary Mertie Allcock was born in 1866 in Toronto, Ontario and died in Iowa, U.S.A..)
