George Brockwell
Cause of his death was Suffocation - Well Gas. Research Information: According to the 1851 Census George was residing in Canada West, York County, York Township and he either worked in, or operated a Brickyard. He is residing with Louise (Wagstaff) Brockwell and they do not yet have any children. Chances are that they had just gotten married that year or the year before. Medical Information: George Brockwell passed away 1 of March 1886, after an accident in a well trying to save Charles Sear, a well Digger on George's property. George married Louisa Lucille Wagstaff, daughter of Robert Wagstaff and Elizabeth Quince, on 14 Dec 1847 in Saint James Cathedral, Toronto, Ontario. (Louisa Lucille Wagstaff was born about 1831 in Wimpole, Cambridge, England, christened on 21 Aug 1831 in Wimpole, Cambridge, England, died on 14 Apr 1868 in Toronto, Ontario and was buried on 17 Apr 1868 in Saint James Cemetery, Toronto, Ontario.) |
