Lewis Ketcham Sillcox
General Information: Reportedly, Lewis offered my Grandfather, John Dickinson Harris (the son of Frank George Harris - Lewis and Edna May's nephew) a lucrative position within a railroad company that Lewis oversaw in Watertown N.Y. on one condition....that he leave behind his fiance Mae Isobel (Granger) and come down alone. John turned down the offer. Research Information: It is strongly suspected and somewhat reinforced by data that Lewis was born Louis Ketcham Sillcox on April 30, 1890 in Havre, Belgium. Lewis married Edna May Harris, daughter of William Harris and Caroline Richardson, on 14 Sep 1918 in Toronto, Ontario. (Edna May Harris was born on 1 Sep 1889 in 396 Pape Avenue, Toronto, Ontario, died on 11 Feb 1961 in Watertown, New York, U.S.A. and was buried in Forest Lawn Mausoleum, Toronto, Ontario.) Lewis next married Alice Armstrong on 16 Apr 1962 in Chapel at the Episcopal Theological Seminary, Cambridge, Massachusetts, U.S.A. (Alice Armstrong was born about 1895 in Ireland and died after 1966 in Toronto, Ontario.) |
