Clarence was a highly renowned Ophthalmologist in his professional life.

  Research Notes:

At the time of his marriage to Margaret Harris, Clarence resided at #508 Pape Avenue - just down the road from the Harris family home at #450 Pape. It is assumed that #508 Pape was the Hill family home at that time (1912).

On Clarence's birth listing it is noted that his initial middle name (at birth) was "Agusta" - this name is in brackets with the name "Edgar" printed above it. This fact signifies that when Clarence was registered as being born (on Nov. 23, 1885 - at 5 days of age) that his parents had not quite yet decided upon a middle name or that he legally changed it himself.

It is noted (on the registry document) that the name "Agusta" was formally altered in 1948 (gov't stamped) but was not legally accepted as his middle name until 1950.

Clarence married Margaret Harris {158} [MRIN: 119], daughter of William Harris {587} and Caroline Richardson {2}, on June 24, 1912 in 450 Pape Avenue (Cranfield House), Toronto, Ontario. (Margaret Harris {158} was born on August 7, 1887 in 420 Pape Avenue, Toronto, Ontario, died on August 8, 1964 in 1037 Christie Point Road, Lake Joseph, Muskoka, Ontario and was buried on August 11, 1964 in Forest Lawn Mausoleum, Toronto, Ontario.) The cause of her death was Heart Failure.
